I do like the musical timing of Toby kissing his wife and the excuse just to transition to the piano scene. (The scene lasts so long Tessy forgets her anger at Toby!) His design at the title card and overall voice is certainly jarring.
A lot of these gags, I just assumed that it was as making use of animation to create abstract symbolism that live action has trouble recreating. Things like men sprouting nosehair to attack people or sharks climbing palm trees.

Nothing WTF here I have seen stranger things than this cartoon the collaspe of the Icelandic banking system.
I like how the “ASBEST” subtitle is delayed, so it looks like it’s a translation of the worm’s razz rather than of the “Asbestos” writing.
